Organisers plan to keep new qualifying format introduced this year

Dates have been confirmed for the 2025 edition of the North West 200.

Organisers plan to hold the meeting from 7-10 May next year and say the new qualifying format used for 2024 will be utilised again and will see Superbike machines first on track for the Wednesday and Thursday sessions (7-8 May, 2025).

Thursday qualifying will then be followed by three Superbike, Superstock and Supersport races during the evening.

Meanwhile, the main race day on Saturday, 10 May will feature two Superbike and Supertwin contests as well as Superstock and Supersport events.

Exact timings for races and qualifying slots on the respective days are yet to be confirmed.

During this year's races Glenn Irwin became the most successful Superbike competitor in the event's history moving onto 11 wins in the class, eclipsing the previous record of nine which had been jointly held by Joey Dunlop and Michael Rutter.

Elsewhere, Davey Todd would claim a hat-trick of wins across the Superstock and Supersport races; Hickman secured back-to-back top spots in the Supertwin class and John McGuinness MBE finished third in the second Superstock race for his first NW200 podium since 2012.
