2025 Island Games athletics team unveiled

Eleven debutants among 24-strong lineup for Orkney

The Isle of Man has confirmed a 24-strong athletics team to compete at the 2025 Island Games this summer.

The squad has an even split of male and female competitors with no fewer than 11 individuals set to make their games debuts in Orkney.

Five of those debutants will be in the half-marathon events, including Christa Cain who broke her own Isle of Man women's marathon record in London last weekend.

There will also be two gold medalists from the previous games in Guernsey in the form of Corrin Leeming - who'll contest the men's 10,000m track race and half-marathon - and Regan Corrin who will be involved in four different competitions of the High Jump, Long Jump, 100m track race and 4x400m relay track race.

In the women's team Georgia Price will make her maiden Island games appearance as part of the athletics lineup in the Long Jump, Triple Jump, 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay having previously represented the Isle of Man at the games in gymnastics.

At the last games in 2023 the Isle of Man finished third in the athletics medal table on 15 (seven gold, three silver and five bronze), bested only by hosts Guernsey (22) and Saaremaa (22).

The 2025 Island Games are scheduled to take place in Orkney from 12-18 July.
