Three days of classic racing awaits on Billown Course
Road racing on the Isle of Man will get underway for the year this evening with the start of the 2023 Pre-TT Classic Road Races.
The three-day event, running from this evening and into Sunday, sees the nostalgia of classic motorcycles meet intense competition on the Billown Course.
This year's meeting has attracted 318 entries including 32 newcomers.
Phil Edge from the promoters, the Southern 100 Club, says they're also seeing more of the younger generations getting involved in classic racing alongside the more experienced competitors:
Roads around the Billown Course are due to close at 6pm tonight and reopen at around 9.40pm.
Manx Radio will be providing live coverage of the races this evening (26 May); Saturday afternoon and evening (27 May) and Sunday afternoon (28 May) on Manx Radio DAB and AM1368.
