Cat named in honour of pop icon
The world may have lost David Bowie but his most famous alter ego lives on in Santon.
Ziggy Stardust was the name chosen by members of the public for a cat rescued by the Mann Cat Sanctuary, after a picture of the animal was posted on the charity's Facebook page.
Sue Critchley from the sanctuary says hundreds of people got in contact to point out the similarity between the world famous pop icon, and the feral female cat from Balthane Industrial Estate:
