MHK probes issue of concern
An Onchan MHK will keep up his pressure on the government over staff on zero-hour contracts next week.
Peter Karran will pose a question on the topic in the House of Keys on Tuesday after running out of time to ask it last week.
He’s due to ask Minister for Policy and Reform John Shimmin about the practice, and how many government workers it affects.
In his question, he’ll ask how many such contracts have been issued to substantive post holders in the public service in the last two years.
