A reward is being offered for information which helps police catch vandals who tore down a statue in a rose garden in the centre of Douglas.
The bronze sculpture of a Greek athlete was uprooted from its plinth, dragged across the garden in Glen Falcon Road, lifted over railings and thrown to the ground.
It happened sometime between last Thursday evening and the following morning.
Bottles and cans were found strewn around the rose garden and police officers investigating the crime want to speak to anybody who saw a large group of youths drinking there on Thursday night.
