Increase of £1 per hour for 18 to 20-year-olds
Keeping young people on the Island is part of the motivation behind the amalgamation of minimum wage rates.
That's according to the Enterprise Minister.
Changes, which come into effect today, 1 October, mean 18 to 20-year-olds will now earn £7.85 an hour - the same as their older counterparts
