Risk of grit being washed away
A yellow weather warning is now in place for ice and further hill snow.
Temperatures over high ground will continue to be around freezing for the rest of today, overnight and tomorrow morning (2 March).
There is also the continued risk of sleet or snow on roads above 1000 feet.
Ronaldsway Met Office says there is concern that the rain, sleet or snow may have washed away any grit resulting in ice forming in places over the higher ground.
These roads will need to be monitored and retreated during the early hours of the morning once the rain has cleared.
The weather warning will be in place until 10am on Saturday.
