Yellow weather warning for gale force winds 

Gusts of up to 55mph are predicted across the Island which may bring down a few branches and trees

A yellow weather warning's in place for gale force winds this evening. 

A number of Steam Packet sailings scheduled for today have already been cancelled. 

The only journey that remains uncertain is the Manxman's trip to Heysham at 8pm - a decision on the sailing to expected at 5pm today.

Forecasters at the Met Office in Ronaldsway have issued the Island wide warning from 5pm until 10pm.

Gusts of up to 55mph are predicted across the Island which may bring down a few branches and trees.

Manx Utilities is on standby to respond to any issues with power, that may occur by the weather. 

If anyone comes across a damaged or fallen power line, the advise is to call them on 687687.
