Yellow weather warning for frost and ice issued for nearly three days

Cold conditions bring heightened risk of frost and ice across the Isle of Man this week

Ronaldsway Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for frost and ice, which will be in effect from 5pm today (7 January) until 12pm on Friday (10 January).

Forecasters warn that cold temperatures are expected to persist over the coming days, leading to an ongoing risk of frost and ice, particularly during the evenings, nights, and mornings.

Surface temperatures are predicted to fall to or below freezing across much of the Island, creating hazardous conditions, especially on wet or damp surfaces.

Coastal areas exposed to north-westerly and northerly winds may see slightly improved temperatures.

Residents are advised to take extra care during this period, especially when travelling.
