Further 1,600 waiting for follow-up appointment
More than 1,800 people are currently waiting for a first appointment with an Ear, Nose and Throat consultant at Noble's Hospital.
A Freedom of Information request has revealed that as of 30 March 2023, more than 500 are awaiting an urgent appointment, with five having been referred on a two-week wait. The remaining 1,305 are waiting for routine treatment.
There are currently 107 booked in for their first appointment. Once seen, 1,611 people are waiting for a follow up appointment, with 163 booked in.
Manx Care is currently working to reduce its waiting lists.
