Scene guard in place on Howe Road
An army disposal unit will travel to the Isle of Man after an unused shell was found in Port St Mary.
The shell, which is thought to be from World War One, was discovered at a property on Howe Road.
A scene guard is in place to ensure it is not moved until the army team arrives on the Island in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
This will be made up of the police, civil defence and the coastguard.
Police say there is no immediate risk to the public.
