Garland laid at plaque to poet
The World Manx Association has hosted a garlanding ceremony to commemorate the anniversary of the birth in Douglas in 1830 of Manx National Poet, Thomas Edward Brown.
The event took place in Glen Falcon, Douglas where a memorial plaque was laid in 1951.
Two pieces of TE Brown's work were read by John Cashen OBE, and a garland, made by children from Kewaigue Primary School was laid alongside the plaque by pupils Emily and Zack.
The ceremony was the first to be attended by the World Manx Association's new chairman, David Christian MBE JP.
