
The Department of Infrastructure says with the Island’s wettest summer on record, it’s had its work cut out to keep the Mountain Circuit in good condition.
Torrential downpours have led to widespread damage across the entire road network which has meant a huge workload for the department’s workers.
In one case, a road surface had to be lifted to allow the water to drain off before being resurfaced.
