Work is underway to replace the Island’s wet-ink stamp and visa  but it will not be completed within the next six months.

It was the answer given by the Treasury Minister, to a question about ongoing issues in the House of Keys today.

Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse, wanted r an update as more residents report experiencing difficulties at borders around the world.

Minister Chris Thomas says a digitisation programme is being developed in partnership with the UK Home Office and the Channel Islands to introduce digital immigration products - including electronic visas:
