The Work Permit System needs to be clearer.
That was one of the findings of a Consultation Document put forward by Chief Executive of the Office of Fair Trading Nick Black last December.
Speaking on Talking Heads this morning, Deputy Chief Executive of the Department of Trade and Industry, Mark Kelly, said it was true that in the past the way in which the Work Permit Committee operated and the way legislation was enacted wasn't widely understood:
