Certain economic sectors to be prioritised
The Department of Economic Development is examining work permits.
In answer to a House of Keys question from Middle MHK Bill Shimmins today, Minister Laurence Skelly said it's being looked at for some sectors of the economy.
He used the example of recruitment for secondary school teachers to alleviate labour shortages.
However, Mr Skelly cautioned against unilateral action:
