'Forest buddies' clean up
The Isle of Man Woodland Trust is looking for volunteers tomorrow (Sun 8).
The organisation is planning to 'care for the trust's trees' in Eyreton Wood, Crosby, from 10:30 in the morning.
Activities will include doing a 'forest buddies' clean up, and cutting back Sycamore shoots - as they 'tend to out-compete other species' when left alone, the trust says.
Willing volunteers are asked to join for about two hours, wearing suitable clothing and footwear plus gardening gloves - with a scheduled coffee break afterwards.
A map showing where Eyreton Wood is can be found on the Manx Radio website.
