Hair going to charity
A Douglas woman will be getting a very close shave this weekend – but it’s all for a good cause.
Alice McGirr is having her hair cut off in the Rovers Return in Douglas on Saturday afternoon, before shaving her head completely in the Baltic Inn in Foxdale later that evening.
She’ll be donating her locks to a charity which provides wigs to children who lose their hair because of illnesses such as cancer.
And she’s also raising money through sponsorship:
