Woman bit neighbour's breast during attack

"I'm going to kill you" she said, leaving 26 injuries

A Ramsey woman’s been remanded prison as she awaits sentencing for biting a neighbour’s breast during a savage and unprovoked attack.

Fifty-year-old Jayne Lisa Thompson of Brookhill Road appeared before magistrates at Douglas courthouse.

Prosecution advocate Hazel Carroon told the court Thompson’s dog had wandered into a woman’s home at around 7pm on 24 July last year.

Thompson followed her pet and introduced herself to the woman – the two then shared a bottle of wine and listened to music together.

Thompson suddenly snapped, attacking her neighbour and kneeling on top of her shouting “I’m going to kill you”.

The court heard she bit the woman on her breast and left her with 26 separate injuries.

Thompson was convicted after a trial and represented herself in court after her advocate said their professional relationship had broken down.

Remanding Thompson in custody, magistrates asked for pre-sentencing reports to be prepared before she appears in court again on 30 October.
