Fifty years on from the Island’s worst ever air disaster, there are plans to hold a special commemorative ceremony.
In February 1958, a Silver City Bristol 170 Freighter travelling from the Isle of Man to Manchester crashed killing 35 people at Winter Hill in Lancashire.
Most of those aboard were Manx businessmen on their way to a motor trade event and the disaster touched every part of the Island.
