
The environment minister says the Isle of Man will have to 'grapple with the issue of windfarms' in the near future.
John Shimmin says there are planning and environmental implications, but the Island needs to do something as it cannot remain dependent on imported oil for its fuel.
He says windmills will impact on somebody wherever they are located, but action is needed:
