Could there be a wind of fortune blowing for the Island?
Quite possibly, according to the political member responsible for energy policy Laurence Skelly.
Mr Skelly and Dr Ken Milne, senior manager for energy policy at the Department of Economic Development, have just returned from the opening of the world's largest offshore windfarm - the £1.2 billion Dong Energy Walney scheme off Cumbria.
Later this month Centrica, which is developing the Irish Sea wind farm zone just outside Manx territorial waters, is to hold three exhibitions in Douglas, Ramsey and Port St Mary to provide members of the public with information about work carried out to date and show what's happening in the future.
Mr Skelly and Dr Milne believe there are serious money making opportunities for the Island.
