Manx addiction charity to host Douglas to Peel stomp

Manx addiction charity Motiv8 is hosting its 'Road to Recovery' event this weekend for the second year in a row.

It's a symbolic walk along the Heritage Trail, from Douglas to Peel, with members of the community invited to take part regardless of whether they themselves have struggled with addiction.

On Sunday (20 September) participants will start the 11-mile route from the NSC at 10.30am.

In 2025, the event's first year, the charity had 100 people (and six dogs) registered to walk and it helped raise £4,000.

Those not wanting to take on the full route can join at St John's from 12.30pm and walk the shorter route to Peel from there.

Registrations close on Thursday (17 September).

On the morning people will need to sign-in at the Manx Harriers Clubhouse on the NSC track.

The entrance fee for the event is £10 for an adult, children under 16 are £5, infants are free. 

Well behaved dogs on short leads are welcome and are free to enter.
