
A new senior manager at the Department of Education will have the job of overseeing all services aimed at children.
The department announced earlier this week it would advertise the post of Head of Services for Children in the near future.
The post will involve improving education for children in care, as well as raising the standards of services for children and their families.
Education Minister Anne Craine says the job means working across several government departments.
