Said to be a key part of traditional Manx Christmas celebrations
A key part of the traditional Manx Christmas celebrations is taking place across the Island today (21 December).
The White Boys play has been seen on the streets of the Isle of Man since at least the 19th century.
It always includes a special carol and a sword dance.
Performances are taking place as follows:
- 10am - Port St Mary outside the Co-op
- 10.45am - Port Erin by the railway station
- 11am - Ramsey outside the Courthouse
- 11.30am - Colby Methodist Hall
- 12pm - Kirk Michael outside Cannan Court
- 12.15pm - Castletown Square
- 1.30pm - Michael Street, Peel
- 2.30pm - Michael Street, Peel
- 5pm - Black Dog Pizza, Peel
