Julie Edge explains decision to appoint 'service partner'
Yesterday evening, it was announced the post office had agreed to seek expressions of interest for a new 'service partner' in Ballasalla - but not a sub-postmaster.
It follows a consultation process, where many interested parties said they wanted a personable face-to-face service - rather than the automated kiosk facility originally proposed.
The successful applicant will help customers operate the touch screen services, and provide advice for completing paper-based services.
