Racer says 'Thank You' for help in returning to IoM
A TT racer who crashed last year - losing his bike in a ‘fireball’ - has thanked the people who’ve helped him return to the Isle of Man.
Sam West was airlifted to hospital after a crash at Laurel Bank after what he described as a ‘silly mistake’.
He says after spending his savings on surgery he was left with no way to race in 2023 – until his friends and sponsors stepped in.
Speaking before today’s first practice session Sam said he’s ‘grateful’ to be back:
