Group refuses to comment
The chairman of the community group bidding to take over the running of Ramsey post office has refused to comment on suggestions undue pressure was placed on them, causing the deal to collapse.
Isle of Man Post last week said it was unable to reach a ‘positive conclusion’ in its negotiations with Ramsey Courthouse Limited.
It’s now seeking tenders for a new partner.
Nigel Malpass, who chaired the company planning the takeover, was asked if the demands on them were unrealistic:
