Wednesday should be disruption free

There's good news for anybody planning to travel by air today (Wednesday), based on the latest update from the United Kingdom's Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre. 

Information released this morning confirms the high density cloud from the latest eruption in Iceland has further contracted, and is moving away from the Isle of Man in a easterly direction.

Director of Ronaldsway Airport Ann Reynolds told Manx Radio this morning the Isle of Man's airspace should be clear throughout the day, and no cancellations of services were anticipated in the United Kingdom. 

She said even by Friday, the only high density areas were over Iceland itself, and made the point that airlines were able to operate in low and medium density conditions. 

The situation remains dependent on high altitude wind directions.
