Weather sees today's Beach Buddies event cancelled

Beach Buddies has cancelled its half-term event scheduled for today, on account of the weather.

Bill Dale said with the forecast rain and strong winds coming from the west, the intended venue of Peel "will be getting a bit of a battering."

He extended his apologies to anybody planning to come along.

However, the charity does plan on having its first weekend event in three weeks this Sunday, when volunteers will try once again to tackle the coastline at Fleshwick Bay and Spaldrick Bay, from the usual start time of 10:30am.
