New date set for August
Poor weather has put an stop to a popular summer event in Port Erin.
Kayak Fishing Isle of Man has called off its annual Kayak Competition, which was due to take place in the village's waters this afternoon.
Sea mist, high winds and large waves prompted the RNLI to advise organisers to postpone the event.
Organisers have apologised, adding they are 'gutted' but 'safety has to come first'.
A provisional new date has been set for Saturday, 18 August.
Anyone who cannot make that date is entitled to a full refund.
Entries have also reopened to anyone wishing to take part in three weeks' time.
