The extremely cold temperatures at the top of Snaefell are affecting mobile phone users in Laxey.
Sure Mobile's mountain-top transmitter is thought to have been knocked out by the unusually cold wether meaning Sure customers in Laxey are unable to use their phones.
The problems started late this afternoon (Tuesday) and it is thought unlikely they will get the a signal until Wednesday afternoon due to access problems on the Mountain Road.
Mike Stanton, Country Manager of Sure Isle of Man, apologised to customers and said: 'The network is generally very reliable but the inclement weather conditions have affected one transmitter. Hopefully local engineers will be able to fix the problem first thing tomorrow.'
