Island students won award at European company competition

'We didn't want to come home empty handed'.

That's from a group of Castle Rushen High School students, who have won the Junior Achievement Gen-E Sustainable Innovation award in Riga, Latvia.

Re-Vitalise were recognised for their product 'EcoGrow', described as an 'all natural soil enhancer' using waste like coffee grinds, spent hops and sawdust.

Before Riga, Re-Vitalise won the Junior Achievement Company Programme on the Isle of Man in March 2026.

It is a year 12 initiative, designed to give students the chance to learn a number of business skills.
