Watterson - Transferring regional pools to DESC would've been 'divisive'

Speaker thinks private sector investment may be an option

Transferring control of all regional swimming pools locally to government would've been 'divisive'.

That's according to the Speaker of the House of Keys who saw an amended motion passed in Tynwald, this week, on the future of pools and sports facilities.

DESC and DOI will now draw up a plan for creating 'Regional Sports Hubs' to secure the future of swimming and other sports activities.
