In the latest utility price hike, water rates are set to rise next week, although by less than expected.
Chairman of the Water Authority Tim Crookall MHK will present a report to Tynwald on water rates for the next year and beyond, at the February sitting of the court.
According to the authority's strategic plan, the rates were due to go up by six per cent next year and five per cent the year after.
But Mr Crookall will ask Tynwald to back a plan that will see them go up by either four per cent, or the rate of inflation over the last year, whichever is lower.
