It was meant to be completed in September
Work to upgrade the wastewater works at Kewaigue is set to restart early next year.
Manx Utilities has confirmed the project - which was due to start in March was halted after an investigation identified a need to refine the proposed route - will get underway in January 2026.
It is hoped to be completed by May 2026, before the start of the TT.
The works will address health and safety risks associated with access to the pumping station along with reducing annual operating costs and future expenses.
