Coastguard helps people for second night
Douglas Coastguard is warning people to check tides and leave plenty of time if they wish to walk to a landmark.
On their Facebook page, they reported a second night of low tides meant a number of people had to be helped after walking to the Tower of Refuge.
The incoming tide had threatened to cut walkers off – coastguard officers on patrol stepped in to lend a hand.
It’s the second night the service says people could have found themselves in difficulties because of the rising water.
