Theme of mural is 'oak tree'
Artists are being asked to submit ideas for a mural for the entrance area of the new Sexual Assault Referral Centre.
Manx Care and the Department of Home Affairs are looking for something 'inspirational and appropriate' with the theme of 'oak tree'.
The SARC project sponsors will be making a bid for financial support from the Isle of Man Arts Council for a maximum of £10,000 for the design, creation and installation of the wall art piece.
Bids made with a lesser budget will be welcome.
The deadline for the initial submission was 21 June, for which the team is currently awaiting a response.
Until then, in a hoping of 'maximising' the opportunity for all interested parties, they're now inviting Isle of Man-based artists and artisans to submit ‘expressions of interest’ with their initial sketch ideas.
The deadline for submissions is next Monday, 22 July.
