
Kerbside recycling is the right way forward for the Isle of Man, according to Braddan Commissioner Andrew Jessop.
The local authorities of Onchan, Braddan and Douglas are due to take over funding of a trial scheme for six months, when backing from central government comes to an end, after three years.
Chairman of Onchan Commissioners Brian Stowell has said his board has been given no indication in strategic terms of whether the current scheme is the best one for the environment and the Isle of Man.
But Mr Jessop is adamant that kerbside collections, in some form, should be part of the Island's waste disposal strategy:
