Visit Isle of Man to reconsider target of attracting 500,000 tourists

Tourism at 70 percent of 2032 goal

Visit Isle of Man is set to reconsider its target of attracting 500,000 visitors to Manx shores by 2032.

That's from Chief Executive Deborah Heather after government released its tourism figures for 2025.

The data shows more than 350,000 people visited the Island last year - 70 percent of the target set in 2022. 

Deborah says the figure is both positive and negative:

Visit Isle of Man has reported a 6.9 percent increase in visitor numbers from 2024.

Statistics show 352,301 people travelled here - 26,357 were cruise ship passengers.

The government agency claims tourism activity delivered £43.3 million in exchequer benefit in 2025.

Deborah added: "These results demonstrate that the Isle of Man’s visitor economy continues to move from strength to strength."

The ten-year Visitor Economy Strategy: ‘Our Island, Our Future’ was approved by Tynwald in 2022.
