Proposals out to consultation
A consultation into aspects of criminal justice and possible changes to the system has been launched.
Comments from both the judiciary and members of the public are being sought, with the consultation running until September 19.
Proposals include the use of more fixed penalties and cautions, treating 17-year-olds as juveniles rather than adults, and a fresh look at sentencing.
