
One of the Island's major manufacturers has won an important victory in the Chinese courts.
Strix, whose administration headquarters are opposite Ronaldsway Airport, spent a year challenging two Chinese firms who, it claimed, were using its own technology for electric kettle controls.
It is now reported the courts have ruled in their favour with damages of 1.5 million dollars.
Paul Hussey, Strix chief executive, says the size of the award demonstrates the law is being upheld and will encourage investment in China.
