Daniel McNeil leaves Isle of Man saying he feels like 'part of the family'

A Royal Artillery veteran has left the Isle of Man saying he feels like 'part of the family'. 

Daniel McNeil, who was diagnosed with a debilitating autoimmune disease after leaving the army, spent a week walking around the coastline as part of his 16,000 mile ‘journey of a lifetime’.

Today (12 October) he travelled back to the UK.

Daniel's aiming to raise awareness of mental health issues - so far he's raised more than £26,000 for his fundraiser.

While on the Island Daniel was invited to a Royal Artillery dinner and was awarded a medal by the Lieutenant Governor.
