Chief Ambulance Officer helped set up ESJCR
A long-serving paramedic is to retire after almost 35 years of service.
Ray Beattie joined the Ambulance Service in 1984, and moved up the ranks to his current position as Chief Ambulance Officer.
Outside of work, the veteran has put aside many hours to raise charitable funds.
He also oversaw the formation of the Emergency Service Joint Control Room in 2002.
The Ambulance Service has wished Ray a 'long and happy retirement'.
