Verdict on Zero-Ten expected in December

The waiting over the future of the Isle of Man's Zero-Ten tax regime looks set to continue, at least until next month.

The system, of zero corporate tax with a levy of ten per cent on some companies' income, was introduced four years ago and is seen as being responsible in good part for the Island's sustained economic growth in recent years.

However, international attitudes towards it have hardened, with the Euro Code Group raising concerns about certain aspects of the structure.

Treasury Minister Anne Craine admits it’s a waiting game.
