The Villa Marina will this evening (Sunday) play host to a gala concert of dramatic and emotional intensity.
Verdi’s Requiem will be performed by the Isle of Man Choral Society and the Isle of Man Symphony Orchestra at eight o’clock.
In association with Allied Irish Offshore, the performance is in aid of the Isle of Man Children’s Centre.
The choir will also be joined by some well-known soloists, as conductor Julian Power explained (audio file attached):
