'Star gazing ideal for self-isolating' says local astronomer
If you cast your eyes to the skies tonight (Tues 24) you may see Venus at its brightest.
Today, the planet will be at its maximum distance from the sun, leaving it very high up in the dark Manx skies.
You should be able to see it up until about midnight, especially if you have a good western horizon.
Local astronomer Howard Parkin says star gazing at a time like this could be an ideal activity for those self isolating:
