First ever Laxey Vegan Festival
There's a celebration of all things cruelty-free in the east of the Island this afternoon (Sat).
The first ever Laxey Vegan Festival is taking place in the village between 2 and 11pm.
Live music and ethically-sourced food and drink will be available all day at the village's Working Men's Institute.
Admission is free.
One of the organisers, self-styled 'reformed carnivore' Grant Fisher, says it's a far cry from the militancy all too often associated with veganism:
Doctors accept three-year pay offer
Seven acts promulgated in final Tynwald Day ceremony before election
Sharp rise in data breaches on Island, says Information Commissioner's Office
Footage circulating on social media 'now an active investigation'
