Police monitoring the situation
A public apology was issued on social media to those wishing to use the private land at Langness, as entry had been blocked.
But it was for very good reason.
There's been a sustained period of vandalism and personal abuse on the peninsula lately, including signs being removed, fencing damaged, grass churned up by motorists, wires strung up to trip pedestrians, and even a padlock filled with dog muck.
Police are monitoring the situation - anybody with any information is asked to contact Castletown Police Station on 822222.
